Corn Starch


Made from corn and contains only carbohydrates (no protein). An excellent gluten-free alternative to flour thickeners in gravy and sauce recipes. Resulting gel as a thickener is transparent rather than opaque when flour is used. Relatively flavourless in comparison and roughly two times the thickening power. Also useful as an anti-caking agent.
